Bookbinders Supplies at Will's Quills
At the shop we have our papers and cards, which appeal to bookbinders for use in their Book & Box making. But, besides this range of paper/cards from around the world, we also support the following Bookbinders Equipment.

Shown on the left of the picture is the standard PVA acid free bookbinders glue. It has these features, Water-based, Acid free, Clear drying, Non-toxic. This comes in 3x sizes; At the top of the picture is the 450 Stainless Clear adhesive. A tube glue in 2x sizes, 100gm or 50gm. It is a general purpose glue, crystal clear and quick drying, machine washable and acid free. Likely craft uses include fabric, trim, bridal stationery, floral, cork, cane, plastic, balsa, wood, scrap booking, etc Use this glue to adhere anything other than paper to paper, card to card etc. At the bottom right of the picture there is the acid free water based dry stick glues. Use them for quick jobs needing no overnight squeezing, like small labels etc. See prices at the end of this page. |

This fibrous fine netting called Mull or Jaconette, is used as the backing support for the book hinge area, or for the lids of boxes. Simply glue in a wide strip across the hinges gap, underneath any bookcloth or outer paper coverings, to strengthen the continuous opening and closing hinge. This can be bought by the metre from a roll 1.020 metres wide, or in strips 200mm x 1.020 metres. See prices at the end of this page. |

Braided Headbands as they are called, are added to a books hinge area at the top and bottom of a book, to enhance and finish the books "professional look". We have a number of colours available as shown in this picture. Purchase these by the metre. See prices at the end of this page. |

Cutting knifes are sold in a number of grades, from heavy duty to fine cut. From the left; The Scalpel No.4 stainless steel handle, which takes the No. 24 curved clip-on blades. Box Boards come in 2x thicknesses from Will's Quills. The one most people go for is the 2.4mm or 2400ums grey board. Its size is 910 x 690mm. The thicker board is 3mm or 3000ums. Its size is 910mm x 670mm. See prices at the end of this page. |

Buffalo Bone Folders come in 4x types, all of which fit the hand well, but have the following specifications. Leftmost in the picture is the standard choice of most people, with a tapered to a point tip. This is 155mm long. The rightmost model is the same size as above but has an oblique or angled tip. The folders in the middle are 135mm & 105mm slim versions of the tapered tip model. See prices at the end of this page. |

The hole piercing Awl will enable you to force holes for sewing pages of the book in their bundles. It snug wood handle cushions in the palm, making holing an easy job. See prices at the end of this page. |
