Traditional Chinese painting has a saying, which is "The Four Treasures of the Studio". These are the Brush, Ink stick, Paper, and Ink stone, with these items you can write calligraphy or paint pictures. The equipment we offer here, although a modern day update to the traditions, has the basis of these four treasures. |

These Brush Rolls are available in Red or Black. The size is 31cm long and 33cm wide, so almost any standard brush will fit easily into the rolled up roll. Even those extra large goat hair brushes. The cost each is just AUD$5.00.

A TRADITIONAL STYLE CHINESE PAINTING SET IN A BROCADE/ SILK BOX

With all the Painting equipment in this set,
anyone would be set up for life, as the owner of many accessories that are
hard to come by nowadays. Here is a rundown of the sets contents;
Bottom left is the ink grinding stone, and above it a black ink stick. In
the centre is a 3 x pronged ceramic brush stand, with a ceramic pot of Vermilion
seal mud underneath. To the right at the bottom is a water dropper & metal
spoon, to ladle out/dispense water to the grinding stone. Above this is a
blank (uncarved as yet) seal signing chop, to stamp finished paintings with
a sealing signature. Rightmost is a stone paper weight, carved with a bamboo
design inlay. Lastly at the top is the 2x painters brushes, having soft and
medium stiff hair for wash work or fine lines.
This unique set complete with its beautiful design silk box is selling for
AUD$109.62, post fees extra.
