The samples (below) shown on this page are all done using the same chrome hand held machine (see the picture - left). At Will's Quills we have sold this machine for many years - and designed hand calligraphed, or computer generated monograms to our customers orders. Logos or crests are also applicable to this hand impressing tool. For wedding stationery use of these images They can be placed in any meaningful position of your choice. For instance; we have embossed small square card pieces, and placed them on the front covers of order of service cards. Or, by impressing a circular red sticky seal, this can be used on certificates. They work particularly well on the top of invites and also on envelope back flaps. So you can understand this item is very popular, and adds a personal finishing touch to your stationery. |
The pictured small chrome hand held embosser can be purchased for AUD$230.00 each, this includes 1x set of insert plates with your custom design. The actual details for this kind of image work are the same for wax seal manufacture, and the information about size and computer file types etc is all noted on the Wax Seal webpage.
The custom design can be made by yourself and forwarded to us by email, or we can create a monogram design by hand calligraphy, with the computer work/scanning etc, at the cost of AUD$60.00 per design. Alternately, a design can be made using computer fonts for AUD$50.00 per design. Logo work is also possible, please enquire by email for a quote.
The picture above shows a vintage cast iron desktop embosser, this model is available uniquely from "Will's Quills". Currently there are no image plates in this machine, but they can be fitted - and be made using your custom image/logo/monogram etc. The image plates are made from nylon and they are laser cut, this modernizes the functional result of this model, bringing it into our current era. The cost of a complete vintage embosser with its image plates fitted is AUD$550.00.

A number of other desktop machines are also available for heavier pressing jobs, such as thick grade photo papers etc. For instance the machine on the left is the Heavy Duty Desktop model, this can emboss images on thicker cards up to 300gsm in weight. The cost is AUD$390.00 including the finished insert plates. Please enquire by email or phone for further information and prices. Besides embossing of the small size 30 to 50mm images, that work in the hand held machine, we can also handle the work for larger images up to A5 size (using the blind embossing technique). |
