WOODBLOCK PRINTED SHEETS

Take a look at these sheets – they are Woodblock printed on Mulberry (Jap: Kozo) papers. Handmade sheets that are 66x97cm approximately. We say approximately – because the papers have natural deckle edges (rough edged), and as such are not guillotine cut after manufacture. This means each sheet is made singly by handmade methods. |

This particular range has gold or white printed images – Dragons, Flowers and other Japanese style artwork. The cost retail is AUD$12.00. (Minimum purchase $20.00 by mail order). |

TRADITIONAL JAPANESE "YUZEN" WOODBLOCK PRINTED SHEETS
Yuzen paper
is multiple woodblock printed onto Mulberry/Kozo paper. The top print is generally
the Gold ink – which adds that exquisite finish, found only in this style
of printed image. Each sheet is 65x48cm in size and the cost is AUD$16.00.

CHINESE COLOURED PAINTING
PAPER/HSIEN

These papers are specially worth mentioning over and above the range of standard Chinese Painting papers. Whilst they are all made from 100% cotton (acid free), and all have very similar (and large) sizes, this selection have delicate qualities that look just terrific. Picture 1 of these 2, has Chinese Red with Gold flecks and Yellow with Silver flecks. They are thin tissue type paper called traditionally 1 ply hsien (around 25 to 30gsm weight), and as we said previously about standard size. |

The Red hsien sheet is 132x66cm and costs AUD$4.00. The Yellow hsien with Silver fleck is 132x66cm and costs AUD$4.00. In picture 2 of this selection, we show first our Saffron tinted with large Silver fleck hsien sheets - these are 132x66cm and cost AUD$4.00. Then lastly, just 2x of our Ahn Hwai range of tinted hsien papers with gold flecks. The colours shown are Blue and Green, but the other shades are; Blue/Green, Light Blue, Pink Mushroom. The size of the Ahn Hwai papers is 129x66cm and they cost AUD$4.50. |
