Noodler's
ink
takes its name from the old American Indian technique of Catfish
fishing. This involved wading into a river to find Catfish holes,
which you would reach down into with your arm to pull out the
fish. The symbol learned from this is the sense of man versus
nature or "fair play". Hence the Catfish is printed
on the ink bottle label.
There
are 4x inks stocked by Will's Quills currently. As shown in the
pictures on the left, we have Black, Blue, Red and Walnut. All
of these run well in fountain pens, and will work with dip pens
also.
The
actual shades available is much larger, with 40x colours in the
standard Noodler's range.
The Blue ink we carry is an acid free (ph neutral)
shade that is approximately the colour of Primary Blue, or near
to Cobalt Blue.
The Black shade is within the standard range but has the
special feature of being BULLETPROOF, or rather, totally permanent
and eternal. As such this ink is fraud proof, as it cannot be
removed from paper. Noodler's even have a reward of a few thousand
dollars for anyone who can remove the ink without damaging the
paper.
So, no more forgeries with Noodler's due to ink being removed
from a cheque, it just won't budge.
The
Red shaded ink has no special features except for being
a mid toned red, similar in shade to a Spectrum Red.
Lastly Walnut shade ink is acid free (ph neutral),
similar to the Blue. The walnut ink tint is pretty accurate,
although it looks purple/shaded in the picture on the left.
Buy these items for AUD$21.00 each. In giant 90ml / 3.Oz size
glass bottles.
