A rotating cutter blade that fits most compasses, including Rotring and Steadtler brands. Using the compass with this fitting instead of for a pencil or ink circle, you will cut through paper or thin card and get a perfect circular cut out.

Here is how we cut out the circle shown above, using a Steadtler Bow compass (priced from AUD$40.50). Our piece of card is 150gsm thick hot pressed card.

We didn't pressure the blade to cut through the card but softly allowed it to cut at its own rate. At about half way through the card, we re-started on the other side, using the same compass hole.

Any thickness card could theoretically be done in this manner. but super thick cards may cause a problem.

As the blade can freely rotate in the adjustable holder, it has no trouble following the circular direction and cutting out the circle piece.

The blades are easily replaceable, by simply unscrewing the locking rings on the cutter tool and putting in the new blade. On tightening the locking rings, care is taken to allow the blade to rotate and not lock it in one position, which can happen if the rings are turned to tight.
