The Rotring Universal Compass Adaptor allows pens and pencils to be fitted to compasses. It has special features as follows;

First feature: This adaptor has a screw tightened fitting for any size or type of writing tool. It can take the ink loaded technical pens (our picture has a Kern fine tech' pen, fitted to a Jasco bow compass), It can also accomodate an INK RULING PEN, a FINE LINE MARKER, a PENCIL, or even a BIRO if you wish.

Second feature: As the title says, its a Universal compass set. This means there are 2x different fittings that change the pen adaptor, to fit different brands of compass. The actual sizes of the stainless steel fitting that slide into your compass are;

Here is a SPECIAL that is a rarity.

The "PYSANKA PEN" or FLUID WRITER PEN, also called a "DOTTER PEN", has a fixed metal handle with a few accessories in the bubble pack set. It uses inks, watercolours, or acrylic to be loaded into the small cone at the top end of the nib. The nib itself is a tube style round tip, with a resulting size of writing or dots, of about 1mm .

The pens ink flow is by gravity, and the refill cone is refilled by using a pipette or eye dropper filled with ink.

In the case that the ink dries and blocks the the tube, a cleaning wire is supplied with the pen. Both the pens tip and the cleaning wire have plastic caps to help protect them when not in use.

This pen/tool sells for AUD$14.60 each.

# Ceramicists use them for applying paints and glazes, polymer and paper artists for applying paint, calligraphers use them to do fine dot work when decorating illuminated letter and artwork.

# A PIPETTE is available at the shop for just .25c each, and holds 5ml per filling, more than enough to refill the FLUID WRITER. Simply add 1x to your order if you need one.

OLD TIME POTTERY INK POTS.
Ink from our bygone days was sold in these pottery pots. Pre-mixed black and ready to go, with a sealed top.

The pots spout has a pouring slot to dispense the ink to a smaller open neck desktop jar, for access with a dipping nib.

The labels are long gone from these glazed ceramic jars, but some of them have the brands stamped into the wet clay, before placing in the kiln.

Use these for ink, home made or otherwise. Or just as decoration for a writing desk. If you need props for a movie, these would fill the bill.

WHATS INSIDE THE NEAT CLIP-LOCK BOX.

6x ruler/templates with lettering sets in 6x sizes.
6x sizes of ink technical pen tips, in holders.
The Sliding-Scriber-Writing tool that transcribes the template outline to the paper.
An ink refill pipette.
A nib holder to allow freehand writing with any of the supplied pen tips, plus most other nibs will fit.

Each template/rule has its own size of 22 degrees leftward leaning Roman style lettering in upper & lower case with numerals, etc. These have heights of;

EXTRA USES FOR THIS EXTRAORDINARY SET
The sets supplied writing tips are similar to technical pen tips, except you can load & empty them quicker, with other ink colours. 6x sizes are in the set, from super fine up to 1mm wide. These have a tube & wire to facilitate easy flowing ink, without blots occurring.

A number of other accessories will fit the scriber-writing tool. This means as it glides in the lettering slots to write letters, other tools can be used to write lettering using these same templates. See the next picture for an enlargement.

Instead of using the supplied ink tips, use a 2mm size PENCIL LEAD, this fits in the sets supplied tube, (we sell these at the shop, if you wish to buy some). Also the following brands of technical pen will fit the scriber-writing tool (as shown in the picture, with a Kern pen attached):
